(CHAPTER THREE: To Mingle with Dragons)

Most of the party manages to get up around 5:00 AM to begin loading and preparing the boat for the voyage across the sea... except for THRAX, AXEM, and Anri, who stayed awake until 3 AM bullshitting and watching stomp DVDs. Maybe they figured that they would be able to sleep on the boat or something. AXEM emerged sometime after 6:00 to drain the lizard, when he noticed all the activity happening.
TRITHAL: "About time you woke up, Axem! Help us get this shit loaded on the boat."
Still in a semi-conscious daze, AXEM obeys and begins carrying stuff from the house out to the boat.
By 7:30, all the party's supplies were below decks, and everyone was ready to go. However, THRAX and Anri were still in a sex and DVD-induced slumber inside the house. TRITHAL marched inside to retrieve them.
TRITHAL (pounds on door to the room where THRAX and Anri are sleeping): "Hey frozen dick! If you two aren't on the boat in 30 minutes, we're leaving without you!"
I don't know the details of what happened after that, because I was busy getting my narrator booth and shit onto the boat. But, around 8:15 or so, the entire party had boarded the vessel, weighed anchor, and were off.

As the vessel made it's way north on the Incisor Sea towards Okreman Territory, Nguang was at the helm, THRAX and Anri were below deck asleep in one of the cabins; and Rihac, TRITHAL, Danika, AXEM and Adeth were on deck conversing.
AXEM (to Rihac): "Mr. Thalimed... judging from how you and Trithal seem to be familiar with each other, one would assume that you yourself are Macha. Is this assumption correct?
Rihac: "Why yes, Mr. Axem... that is indeed correct... My truest name is Macha-Zed. But, if you insist on addressing me so formally, my proper title would be 'Mr. Rihac' or 'Rihac-sama'. Rihac is my family name, and Thalimed is my given name. That's the way we do our names in Ghon-Ki."
TRITHAL: "Just like my name: Trithal Tsutaru. My parents decided to have my name as a Ghon-Ki name, although my given name Tsutaru is a common boy's name in Kureganese, and I was born in Sabretooth Prefecture."
AXEM: "Ahh.. osoyuse?"
TRITHAL (to Rihac): "So Kuta, what have you been up to all this time since we last saw each other?
Rihac: "Mainly just hiding out. After that catastrophe 80 years ago, I've been laying low here in Ghon-Ki"
TRITHAL: "Yeah. I remember when you took that new body that you said you would be headed here."
Rihac: "I spent a good year or so wandering around the region. Eventually I found myself in Irumac. I assumed the name Rihac Thalimed, and set up shop here. I originally planned to coast along, doing odd jobs like fixing boats, etc. I managed to keep that front for quite some time... but with the onset of the civil war, most of the citizens of Ghon-Ki began to pull up stakes and search for more-peaceful surroundings. Alot of people I knew in Irumac moved to Morgura Prefecture.... Hey.. wait a minute... (to TRITHAL) You said your name is Trithal, right?"
TRITHAL: "Yep."
Rihac: "Is that your family name?"
TRITHAL: "It is."
Rihac: "What's your given name?"
TRITHAL: "Tsutaru. Why do you ask?"
Rihac: "Could you be of any relation to Trithal Torias?"
TRITHAL: "Yeah... he was my grandfather."
Rihac: "Ha! Ain't this a small fucking world! I was friends with your grandfather for years... until he decided to move away after he and his wife had their baby. Tell me, is Yiran your father?"
TRITHAL: "Yes, that's right. Trithal Yiran is my father."
Rihac: "Wow! I thought you looked somewhat familiar! You have some of the same facial features as your grandfather did when he was your age! Although your eyes look Eastern. That would explain your Kureganese first name."
Before the party could get too caught-up in the serendipity of that realization, four SeaSharks swam up to the boat and confronted the party. TRITHAL immediately jumps down to the lower deck to the cabin THRAX and Anri are sleeping in.
TRITHAL (as he is kicking THRAX in the ribs): "THRAX! Wake the hell up! We got a battle!"
THRAX (Half asleep): "Huh...? Wha...? Aw, hell! I was having a great dream, too!"
THRAX wakes up Anri, and they follow TRITHAL above deck and prepare to fight.

SeaShark 1 rams into the boat, knocking everyone over. Each member loses 3HP.
In an unexpected feat of cooperation between rivals, TRITHAL and Anri perform a combo attack, ARCTIC CYCLONE. The four sharks are pulled up out of the water with the force of a great wind and then bombarded with a cyclone of giant chunks of ice. Each SeaShark loses 124/386 HP.
SeaShark 2 lunges out of the water and bites Anri's leg. The creatures head freezes and shatters. SeaShark 2 is destroyed.
TRITHAL: "Remind me not to eat your pu--"
Danika grabbed TRITHAL's earlobe and twisted it before he could finish that sentence.
SeaShark 3 attempts the same move on THRAX. The Amulet of Xanatos (You remember the amulet, don't you? THRAX found it in Volume One Chapter Two) flares slightly. SeaShark 3 is engulfed in flames and is destroyed.
SeaShark 4 jumps out of the water and smacks TRITHAL with it's tail fin. TRITHAL loses 1 HP. TRITHAL responds with a Three Stooges-esque grabbing-his-face and a snappy "Why-I-oughta..."
AXEM channels his earth element and unleashes LIGHTENING RAIN. SeaShark 1 and 4 lose 160/262 HP each. AXEM used 15 SP with that attack.
Danika copies a move from an anime that TRITHAL got her addicted to and releases Forest Shotgun. Beams of green energy mixed with leaves and twigs shoot out from her balled up fist. The SeaSharks lose 84/102 HP. Danika uses 22 SP.
Adeth decides to go swim with the sharks. No damage to the enemy. SeaShark 1 is now confused.
Rihac and Wan....(ahem)....Nguang combine their strength and unleash Twilight Prayer. The sun is immediately blotted out and sounds of violence and screaming sharks (however the hell that sounds), can be heard. As light returns to the area, we see shark pieces floating on the water. All enemies are destroyed.

Nguang: "It's Nguang!!! How many times do I gotta say it?! Geez..."
Anri: "Hey, Thrax! What was the deal with your amulet? It hasn't done anything except boost your SP since you got it!"
THRAX: "I have no idea..."
TRITHAL: "Maybe it reacted to you being attacked and responded by destroying that SeaShark... or something..."
THRAX: "Well, I suppose that is a possibility...."
TRITHAL and Rihac proceed to check the vessel for any damages from the battle. Finding nothing serious, the boat corrects course and continues on toward the port city of Garr.
